You did everything they told you to — the degree, the résumé, the applications — and still watched the offer, the promotion, the seat go to someone else. That's not bad luck. Most of how those decisions get made happens where you can't see it. Every Sunday I show you that hidden part — in 5 minutes.

The application. The credential. The interview. That's the visible economy, and it's maybe 30% of how outcomes actually get decided.
The posting, the resume, the org chart, the rules written down. The part everyone can see is the part everyone is already fighting over.
The conversation before you were considered. The room where your name came up, or didn't. The relationships, the timing, and the unwritten rules that decide who gets the offer, the seat, the deal.
The people who learn to see the system move differently. That is what this letter is about.
I've led inside almost every kind of institution there is — HBCUs, the Ivy League, mid-sized privates, large public systems. I was never trying to climb one ladder. I was building what I call a genreless career: proof that you don't have to be typecast into a single lane, that the right person can earn a seat in any room they choose. So I went looking for the hardest room to test it in.
Salesforce. I didn't want to be a customer of that world — I wanted to see inside the matrix. Getting in took 20 interviews over 6 months, for a role where roughly 1 in 100 applicants is hired. I made it. But landing it isn't the part that changed my life.
The process did. Brown did. Somewhere in there I got access to what I call the invisible economy — and watched, at full scale, what relationships, timing, and a sharp set of skills can actually do for a person. Once you see it in one world, you can't unsee it in any of them.
So I never really left higher ed. I brought everything back. Today I do the work I find iconic: helping one person land the job they were told was out of reach, building enrollment, marketing, and brand strategy for institutions, and helping companies use technology to drive real change — right down to the teams who have to implement it. Career. Higher ed. Tech. The same hidden machinery underneath all three.
That's who I am, and that's what this letter is: what I learned the hard way, from inside all three worlds, written down so you don't lose ten years figuring it out.

One email every Sunday morning. A story, a framework, or a clear read on how things actually work across career, higher ed, and tech. Always 5 minutes.
Your free 20-minute self-assessment. One number for how free you are today, and how far your current path sits from the life you'd design on purpose. The honest starting line.
Every framework I've built across career, higher ed, and tech — the same tools I used to break in, advise institutions, and drive change. Yours the second you subscribe, and growing every week.
Real stories of people who changed lanes and made it. Not motivation for its own sake. Evidence that the door you're staring at actually opens.
The network is the invisible economy. Who's in the room, who vouches for you, who you build alongside. The letter pulls back the curtain on how those rooms work.
Specific, repeatable moves. The roadmap, the audit, the actual steps. Because inspiration without execution is just entertainment.
One brand. One mission. Access to the rooms most people never see.
Each month I sit down with people who beat the invisible economy and got the offer, the seat, the deal. The show is where the full stories get told. The letter is where I hand you what to do with them.
